Kim West Candy Stripe Dress
The House of Holland show is always one of my highlights of London Fashion Week. This Spring/Summer collection is even more exciting than usual - as promised by Holland himself, HOH underwear has started to appear.
You’d be a fool to have missed the photographs of HOH tighty whiteys which are due to appear at Selfridges this Christmas, emblazoned with brazen messages about (ahem!) grooming. But for something a little classier, today’s catwalk show might just do the trick.
The latex underwear is made by Kim West - a pioneer in latex garments, who uses Glyde-tex which is smooth on both sides of the fabric. This results in some incredibly wearable garments, with West even producing her own bridal range.
Today’s undies, however, came in bright jewel tones, with a leather-like appearance in terms of construction. Peeking through barely-there jerseys and carefully placed holes, I’m excited to see whether these will be on sale.
More importantly, could there be another collaboration on HOH’s hands? Could Pretty Polly start selling knickers? Only time will tell!

Artist Nina Gehl wears this new industrial moto-jacket in her usual inimitable style for the album launch party of indie electro-pop band Nitewreckage. It’s a new design so we haven’t put it on the site yet.
I was delighted to see that Central Saint Martins textiles student, Flaminia Saccucci won first prize at the degree show yesterday with a collection of printed latex. Read more here
